Description
Hello !
I'm not sure Icecast2 is the issue, or if it is an hardware we are using, but maybe you'll have a solution / or part of solutions.
Here's the issue, in a FM Radio, we are using Icecast2 to create 2 stream, one in 256 kbps for FM transmission and one in 192 for web transmission. When we listen with VLC or Firefox, there is not issue.
To do FM transmission, we are using a db9000 rx (https://www.devabroadcast.com/db9000-rx), which is Icecast compatible (https://www.devabroadcast.com/dld.php?r=1388), by uploading the 256 kbps stream.
However, when listening FM transmission, every 9 minutes there is a short cut (less than 1 second), because the buffer empties, before restarting. It's like the DB9000RX is reading too quickly icecast2 stream, and need to synchronize with the clock, before restarting.
Have you already encounter this kind of issue ? Is it possible the issue comes from Icecast2 or from the end hardware (the DB900 RX here) ?
Here's our icecasts settings :
