I looked into it and saw the precipitation data is in WGS 84, I assume the california_df is too? Since WGS 84 doesn’t preserve area, isn’t the mean precipitation per county potentially biased? I guess for California it’s acceptable because the latitude range is small, but for larger areas the pixel size difference could matter, right? So the code wouldn’t generalize right ? Unless zonal_stats somehow handles that internally?
