Greptile Summary

Updated build performance benchmarks to v2.4.0 with measurements from CI workflow run #71.

Key changes:

  • File count increased from 109 to 122 files (+13)
  • Added new metrics: no-op rebuild time, 1-file rebuild time, and individual query latencies (fn-deps, path)
  • All benchmark data is consistent between README.md and generated/BUILD-BENCHMARKS.md
  • Native engine data now included in incremental rebuild and query latency tables

Performance trends observed:

  • Native build speed: 2.1 → 6.1 ms/file (↑221%)
  • WASM build speed: 6.4 → 8.7 ms/file (↑32%)
  • Query times increased by 33-60% across different query types
  • Estimated 50k file build time increased from ~105s to ~305s for native

The significant performance regression warrants investigation in a separate issue, but this PR accurately reflects the automated CI measurements.

Confidence Score: 5/5

  • This PR is safe to merge - it's an automated documentation update with accurate data
  • Documentation-only PR from automated CI workflow that accurately reflects benchmark measurements; no code changes, no logic to review, data is internally consistent
  • No files require special attention - both files contain automated benchmark updates

Important Files Changed

Filename Overview
README.md Updated build performance benchmarks to reflect v2.4.0 measurements with additional query metrics
generated/BUILD-BENCHMARKS.md Updated comprehensive benchmark data with v2.4.0 metrics, showing increased file count and detailed query latencies
