Dropdown menu closes if click lingers

Describe the bug

if you do not immediately let go of the mouse button when clicking on a dropdown, when you do let go, the dropdown closes when it should have stayed open

Steps to reproduce

Press down on the dropdown menu trigger. Hold button in for ~1 second

Let go

What happens: Dropdown closes

Expected: Dropdown should stay open

To reproduce again, click off the element and then follow the steps again

Expected behaviour

Dropdown should stay open even if i hold the mouse in
