I cannot use nc.app_cfg.endpoint as that may be http depending on the appAPI setup. Any idea how to solve that?

is that guaranteed to be a publicly available endpoint though? We want to give the user a link to the image.

no, it can be private..

That's http if the Exapp is configured with http, but that may not work for the image link

We need to add a new endpoint in AppAPI that will expose the value of the $this->urlGenerator->getAbsoluteURL(''))

And we can backport that endpoint to NC31
