Publish work does not work

I am a bit at a loss why the workflow is not running properly. Will look at this again but now putting this up as a reminder.

Ah I see the mpl framework it does not like.

I pushed a tag so that is expected. If you make a release in the GitHub UI it will work. Shall I do that now?

Well something is still broken, however it is not the GHA workflow but rather the setuptools_scm integration. For w/e reason it compute the next version as 1.0.4 instead of 1.0.5.
