sortable has problems when sorting a display: grid using auto-fill

make sure your viewport is small enough that the grid wraps to a 2nd row. As you drag the first item to the right, once you "pass" the right-most item on the bottom row of the grid, the dragged item shifts to the end. For example, if your rows look like
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
9, 10
Once you drag "1" along the x-axis across 2, once you reach 3 (which is "past" 10 on the x-axis), the "1" will drop to the end of the list.
This was done on latest chrome (72) on mac, although my latest versions of firefox and safari have the same problem.
