KICKR BIKE Pro: cannot share with MyWhoosh

If MyWhoosh has paired controllable, BikeControl cannot connect to KICKR BIKE Pro. If I first pair BikeControl to KICKR BIKE Pro, I cannot pair controllable to MyWhoosh.

Basically renders the app currently unusable with MyWhoosh.

Note: the firmware message is incorrect, it seems to expect 1.2.0 as latest, firmware on my KICKR BIKE Pro is 3.311.

Thanks for letting me know.

Can you check, e.g. with the nRF Connect app, if the KICKR BIKE PRO has two Bluetooth devices?

As BLE can only connect to one app at a time, and you paired it with MyWhoosh already, it seems like an additional one is available for BikeControl (the one that is missing the necessary services).

I'm not sure how to identify if it has more than one. If it's the two separate lines of "Complete list of 16-bit Service UUIDs", then yes, it's two. One is for Zwift service, one is for Cycling Power + Fitness Machine services.

In the log below, the Zwift service is not listed (0xFC82) as far as I can tell, but is listed as one of the three service UUIDs, but separately on the Scanner tab:

Weird, even though MyWhoosh says it had paired the power connection, it wasn't receiving data whilst BikeControl was open. Hadn't noticed that before.

Also, I'm not sure if it's something special the nRF Connect app is doing, but I can connect and start listening to notifications on the Indoor Bike Data characteristic, open MyWhoosh, pair fully, and the Indoor Bike Data appears on both MyWhoosh and the nRF Connect app simultaneously, but that's for the Notification type.

That's exactly what confuses me as well. It seems the KICKR does allow multiple connections at a time, which I didn't know was possible at all. And if e.g. BikeControl connects first, MyWhoosh can't fully use the devices characteristics and vice versa...

Well, I built a console app that seems to be mostly working. I found that as soon as binding to any FTMS characteristic, MyWhoosh would lose the Controllable ability.

So perhaps you're just connecting to more services than is actually necessary?

I also found that with the Windows Runtime SDK, GattDeviceService.OpenAsync(GattSharingMode.SharedReadAndWrite) would allow multiple connections to characteristics generally, just not FTMS with MyWhoosh Controllable.

Hmm. You're declaring the KICKR BIKE PRO as a Zwift Ride, but (at least on mine), it doesn't actually expose the ZWIFT_RIDE_CUSTOM_SERVICE_UUID. I'm not sure if it's a 100% cause though, as you do try to connect to either of ZWIFT_RIDE_CUSTOM_SERVICE_UUID and ZWIFT_CUSTOM_SERVICE_UUID in the linked code.

Very confusing... I think the error message mentioning the ZWIFT_RIDE_CUSTOM_SERVICE_UUID in the error log is actually an error for the ZWIFT_CUSTOM_SERVICE_UUID now that I think about it...

Yeah, I can't reproduce the behaviour in my app except when opening the FTMS service, which as you say, you don't do. Have tried many variations to no avail.
